Michael Giffen began his career in Dayton, Kentucky as the Main Street Director in 2010. He spent four years as Dayton’s Main Street Director while also assisting as a Code Enforcement Officer before being named the interim City Administrator in January of 2014. In March of 2014 he was promoted to the City Administrator position full-time and continues to serve in that role. As City Administrator, Michael serves as the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer and manages the day-to-day operations of the City, including oversight on the development of the riverfront and the community as a whole. Michael has helped lead the transformation for Dayton to grow and evolve into a major contributor in the region in terms of housing, recreation, and economic vibrancy.
