RE: Weekly Report

Administration Overview
The February 5, 2019 Council video is available online.
There will be a second City Council meeting this month on February 19th at 7:00PM.
There were several meetings held this week. On the public side both the City Council and the Planning and Zoning Boards met. The Planning and Zoning Board discussed the appropriate definitions for drive-in and drive-through businesses and discussed a text change that would make these types of businesses conditional uses, subject to Board of Adjustment approval. This information will be coming back to you in on February 19th for a 1st reading.
Internally, I met with the firm that helped put together financing options for a new city building and brought them up to speed on where things currently stand. Ben and I sat down with our insurance brokers to review our products and to start to get prepared for cost increases and our budget. Finally, I met with Brendan Sullivan to discuss some of his next projects, which he hopes to bring to the Planning and Zoning Board this spring.
The finance committee has copies of the three banking bids we received. We are going to set a meeting in the coming weeks to review those and I will send our recommendation and digital copies of each proposal to you all in advance of the March Council meeting.
