SD1 is accepting comments from the community about a proposed budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2018.
The draft budget includes a 5 percent increase in the sanitary sewer service fees charged to customers for FY 2018. If approved, residential customers would see an average monthly increase of $2.16, or $0.36 per hundred cubic feet (HCF) of water usage, on their SD1 bills for sanitary sewer service. The storm water fee in the proposed budget for residential customers would not change from the current $5.04 per month in the coming FY 2018.
The new wastewater rate adjustment would be reflected on customer bills beginning in August 2017.
Information about the proposed FY 2018 budget is available at www.sd1.org.
SD1 welcomes comments from the public about the proposed wastewater and storm water budget during the public comment period beginning April 21, 2017 and ending May 5, 2017.
